Memory Lane

The kiddos over spring break 2011

Wow, it has really been a long time since I've been here. Being that I haven't posted in F-O-R-E-V-E-R, I went back and looked at all my previous post. Sigh. It's so sad; the kids were so little when I first started this blog. Seeing all the old pictures and videos on here really tugs at my heart. My babies are growing up way too fast! And my life has changed SO much. There's a lot I don't miss about my life, but there is a lot I do miss. The thing I miss the most is staying home with my babies. It's a total 180 from my life now that consists of two jobs, 15 hours at school, two kids in school, and three different activities each week between the three of them.

I am going to try to keep up with this thing again. It's good practice with my writing, since I am a writing major. :)

Bye for now!

Yee-Haw!

It's rodeo time here in San Antonio! We lived away until two years ago, and last year we didn't take the kids so I figured it was time. Thursday I actually got a much needed night out (Yay!) and went with Danielle to see Toby Keith. We had so much fun and he put on a really good show.

Saturday Jennifer and I took the kiddos to the fair grounds. They had such a good time and we had a lot of firsts. They had their first funnel cake, Preston got to rope for the first time, and Graceann went on her first roller coaster ride! We also went to the petting zoo, which they absolutely loved!

Now it's the end of the weekend (almost) and I've got to get ready for my busy week. School keeps me so busy and I have a test and paper due this week. Not to mention fitting Preston's karate in there. We just signed him up for baseball and we are both excited for him to start at the end of March. I am trying to figure out where to take them for spring break. I want to do something. I wanted to take them camping but all the cabins are reserved. I guess I'll have to think on that one. (Any suggestions?)

My shopping mission

Since the day Bellarose was born I have loved dressing her up. We lived in Vegas and I stayed at home so we really didn't ever go anywhere. But every morning I got her dressed to the nines so I could take a picture of her in a cute little outfit. I now have a large collection of pictures of my little mini model. Well it's no surprise that since she will be starting kindergarten in August I have already started school shopping for her and it's only February. ;) I still love to dress her up. I found the cutest stuff at gymboree last week and have started to look online because you can find the cutest stuff at little online boutiques. In my search for things I have found the CUTEST shop ever and it just so happens that they are having a really big sale right now!! Here is the link to their facebook page:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/cottoncandyshopcom/75537373217#!/pages/cottoncandyshopcom/75537373217

Their entire site is 20% off right now, what a bargain! I know I will be getting Belle a few things from here for school. Their actual website is: www.cottoncandyshop.com

Have fun shopping!

I'm back!

Wow! Has it really been 8 months since my last post? Time sure flies! And oh the changes we've had.

Me and the kids moved the day after Christmas and that meant that Preston had to change schools. I was really uneasy about him changing schools, because he's already had to switch once, but he's such an easy going little guy who adjusts to change well, so I think he is doing fine. He started karate again, which he loves, and I am also enrolling him in baseball. He is six now and will turn 7 in May.

Bellarose turned FIVE (so hard to believe!) in November and is still doing cheerleading. She's also about to start ballett. Grace just turned 3 last week (Happy Birthday Grace) and is a little stinker. Still not potty trained. That is pretty frusturating.

I started school this semster after a year break. I like all my classes and I'm just hoping I can juggle it all!

We've had an exciting week - my cousin Suz had her little girl, Palin, yesterday and one of my good friends, Aubrie, had her little boy Madden today! Two babies in two days. What a blessing.

The kids and I like our new apartment and we are almost all settled. It's a big change coming from a big house but we will adjust. I'll post pictures as soon as I finish the decorating. :) I'm almost done and we are pretty much settled in. Well I guess this is it for now. Until next time...

The things they say...

Funny things my kids said today:

1. We went to Silvia's to drop the kids off (she graciously babysat) so we headed upstairs to take a look at her newly decorated baby room for Baby Brayden. (It's super cute) Preston went with me and I said "Look Preston, the whole room is decorated for the baby - how cute" and his reply: "Yea but where's the baby?"

2. For some reason Preston has really been thinking hard about where he wants to have his next birthday party (When is this you ask, May 2, 2010. I guess he's a planner like his momma) and on our way home today he said "Ooh I know where I want to have my birthday party next year." Me: "Where?" "At Texas Roadhouse" Me: "Oh you really like that place" "Yes, their butter bread. That's what I'm going to get their butter bread" & Bella jumps in "Do they have sweet tea? Yummy, Sweet tea - this is going to be awesome!"

3. Here's another from the other day - I was babysitting my cousin's kids the other day and her daughter, Hannah, is Preston's age. Her and Bella LOVE each other but they also can get into a good fight. Bella and Hannah ran up to me, obviously arguing about something, and so I calmed them down and asked each of them their side. Bella told me her side and then I went to Hannah to get her version of things. She said: "Well, she just needs to respect her elders" and in case you didn't get it she wasn't referring to me she was referring to herself. I really got a laugh out of that.

Time for a change

I felt the need for some Summer in my blog, hence the change of scenery. Hope you like it. In the spirit of summer here are some cute bathing suits I found:

a cute one piece from Le Top:

Kate Mack, the master of kids swim suits:

another Le Top:

And a suit for me - I've been eying this suit for a year but for $250.00 I don't know that my body deserves that yet. I have a few more pounds to loose -

And since I'm adding pictures I thought I'd add a picture of Grace's bedding that I'm sadly about to get rid of (along with her high chair):

May the force be with you...

Here are some pics from Preston's party and below is a video. We had a really good time. I didn't get quite as many pictures as I would of liked but it is what it is. Preston had fun and got a lot of neat stuff. His party started at 4:00 and I was running a little late getting organized but I figured it was no big deal because everyone I know always runs late. So I'm thinking it's fine until I get a knock on my door at 4:01. Great! It's one of Preston's classmates. It all worked out though. Today we are going to clean, clean, clean. Troy got a ping pong table for the garage so we need to actually make it look like a garage rather than a storage unit so he can have his "man" area.
